The winning companies at the 2012 EFTTEX Awards are moving quickly to capitalise on their successes at the show and boost sales in the year ahead.

In all, 18 awards were announced at EFTTEX in Paris at the beginning of June. EFTTA, in conjunction with Awards sponsor Angling International, has created special logos for the winners and the commended products in each category, which are already being put to good use on marketing material by the winning companies. All have been swift to realise the promotional benefits of being judged the best in their categories.

UK company Lynx Fishing won two awards in Paris for its revolutionary Precision Compression Technology - the Visitors' Choice and the overall Innovation of the Year. The new technology promises to attach hooks to line without knots and it received an overwhelming response at the show.

The company's Sales and Marketing Manager, Iain McGeary, said: "EFTTEX was incredible for us, from start to finish. We knew we had the product, but for it to be recognised by visitors and journalist alike is a tremendous boost. The awards will play a major part in our sales and marketing efforts over the next year."

US company Sage improved on its victory at last year's EFTTEX Awards by winning two awards in Paris, the Best New Fly Rod for its CIRCA 589-4 and the Best New Accessory Award for its Sage Travel Rod Tubes.

Its Director of Sales, Marc Bale, is already looking to repeat the marketing success he had with the Sage One rod last year. He said: "From a PR point of view, we know that winning these awards is marketing gold. It shows that Sage is out there and producing top class products that people want."

French company Sert, which returned to EFTTEX after a long absence, won the Best New Rod Award for its Furiozza FRC 631 UL ST rod. Its new Marketing Director, Franck Courtillet, said: "The last time I was an exhibitor at EFTTEX was in 2007 and for Sert it‘s even longer. However, this is the best show that I have ever attended. The quality of the visitors was very good.

"The award was the highlight for us and we will do our best to capitalise on this prize."

Commended prize winners are also taking advantage of recognition at EFTTEX. Denmark's Fairpoint Outdoors was commended in two categories, Best New Hard Lure and Best New Footwear. Its Marketing Coordinator, Peter Kirkby, said: "There's no doubt winning the commendations will improve the brand awareness of the Westin and Move Mountains brands to both consumers and trade.

"In our search for new export markets and business partners, these awards will prove very helpful."
